Silliman University “Top 1” Best Performing Nursing School in the Philippines for 2015

Almost 17,900 nursing graduates took the exams held in Manila, Bacolod,Baguio, Cabanatuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga and more than 9,700 (54.26%) passed the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing in May 2014.

Dagit Dumaguete is proud to say that Silliman University is again included in the Top 10 Best Performing Nursing Schools in the Philippines for 2015. Silliman University together with two (2) other schools namely Chinese General Hospital Colleges and West Visayas State University – La Paz,  were named by the PRC as the top 1 performing schools in the May 2015 NLE or nursing board exam as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010. Silliman University has also produced topnotchers, Carla Mae Borongan Abrigo (Top 8) and Sabrina Kristine Avanceña (Top 10). Only schools that had 50 or more examinees and with at least 80% passing rate were included on this list

The Silliman University College of Nursing (SUCN) is one of the constituent colleges of Silliman University, a private university in Dumaguete City, Philippines, established in 1947. Silliman is among the top nursing schools in the Philippines. It is a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education as designated by the Commission on Higher Education. In 2009, it ranked 1st in the Philippines based on licensure examination results with a passing rate of 96.57%.
